The Story of DG Media

Josiah and Kassidy met under quite unique circumstances; curbside at LAX. We both happened to be going on the same trip to Port Au Prince, Haiti on a mission trip. Our first interaction was ten days in one of the most impoverished nations in the world. Needless to say we hit it off and became great friends and eventually business partners. Our time in Haiti shaped not only this friendship but also our lives in a way that we never could have expected. It taught us to really take inventory on what the important things in life are. At the top of the list would have to be relationships. We both made a mutual friend in Haiti, a man names Lojeune Frantz. He was our guide and the man who ran the site we worked on. Not only did he leave us with a great friendship, he also taught us something that effected us both so much that we named out company after it:

Dégaǵe

Dégaǵe was taught to us by Frantz and in his words in means “make it work.” Dégaǵe was a reality in Haiti. With limited resources we had to make it work. We built a roof and with the limited tools, supplies and man power we made it work. We ran a medical clinic in the jungle and with the limited meds, one doctor and no other medically trained personnel we made it work and saw over 200 patients in one day. We also built a goat farm and despite our obvious lack of experience in building or operating farms we made it work. Dégaǵe gave us confidence that we could get it done, Frantz taught us to trust in ourselves knowing that we are capable of more than we realized.

This is the same mentality we use when we approach the work we do now. Nothing is to big or small for us to handle. No website to complicated, no graphic to petty, no video to immense.
